November 2018 Meeting – New initiate, election and more.

This being the last meeting before our Installation meeting in December, we end the year with a blast. Fresh from welcoming a new member into our lodge in our October meeting, we once again received another new member into our lodge.

Having just initiated a new member into our lodge in October, we have the privilege to welcome another new member to the Lodge of Honour.

The WM W Bro Brian Parry along with his officers conducted a splendid ceremony as usual and the candidate appeared to thoroughly enjoy the evening. He was initiated by the WM assisted by W Bro Ifill who imparted the NE Corner address, Bro Eyles who presented the Working Tools and W Bro Penny who delivered the Charge.

It is also in this meeting that we elect our WM and Treasurer for the ensuing year. The proposed members, Bro Tan and Bro Brewer were both elected unopposed for the respective offices.

Two members were also proposed to join the lodge committee, Bro JB and Bro EK. They were proposed and voted for by a majority of the members.

Finally, the office of Tyler was proposed. Bro SL who held the role currently will resume the office in the new year. Once again voted for by the majority.

Our lodge also held a ballot to elect two members to honorary membership in recognition of their contribution and support for the lodge.

We also took the time to present Grand Lodge Certificates to two of our members, Bro Ek and Bro SP. These were presented by W Bro Penny.

Before we end the November meeting and proceed to the festive board, a new joining member was proposed and seconded for initiation at the third rising. This again is good news indicating that the Lodge of Honour is in a healthy position moving forward.

We had a wonderful festive board that we enjoyed with our visitors. Once again, we would like to thank our visitors for supporting us and we hope to see you in our next meeting. Everyone departed having enjoyed the evening.
