Lodge of Honour – March 2019 Meeting
In the March 2019 meeting, members were given an informative and educational talk and tour as well as received the Somerset Travelling Trowel.
Four brethren from the Tyntesfield Lodge no 4494 attended our meeting and presented the Somerset Travelling Trowel to the WM of Lodge of Honour according to custom. The next destination for the Travelling Trowel to Woodspring Lodge at Yatton on Friday April 12th. The WM thanked the brethren from the Tyntesfield Lodge No 4494 and agreed to take the trovel onwards.
This is a great opportunity for members of our lodge to visit there and we hope that as many of our brethren as possible will support the Worshipful Master on this occasion.
Bath, the first Provincial Lodge in England, and its successors
After our meeting, a presentation and tour was given by W Bro Trevor Quartermaine, the WM of the Cumberland Lodge and Bro Emir respectively. The title of the presentation was “Bath, the first Provincial Lodge in England, and its successors” and was given by W Bro Trevor. This was then followed by a tour of the Bath Masonic Hall by Bro Emir.
It was a most enjoyable evening at Lodge of Honour and we would like to thank Bro Emir for his tour and W Bro Trevor for his presentation.
We would also like to thank all our junior officers this season for their stewarding work.
What’s Next
We also discussed a visit to Castle Lodge in Bristol to see a Bristol Working in the Third Degree and the following two dates were suggested. March 19th or April 16th. Most members were able to go to the meeting on April 16th.
