A Successful Installation Meeting Enjoyed by All – December 2019
The Lodge of Honour No 379’s first meeting of the year opened with a well-attended and organised Installation Ceremony on the 9th December 2019. It was also our Christmas Meeting.
We welcomed our new Worshipful Master for the coming year, 2019 – 2020 in a well attended installation ceremony.
The ceremony started promptly after normal Lodge business. Bro. Sharples was presented as Master Elect to the Installing Master W. Bro. Tan by W. Bro. Parry. The Secretary, W. Bro. Penny read the Ancient Charges and the W.Bro Tan obligated Bro. Sharples. Bro.
Bro. Sharples was then installed in to the chair according to Ancient Custom.
W.Bro Sinclair, PrJGW who attended the meeting said,
“…please convey my grateful thanks to the WM and members of the Lodge of Honour for the warm welcome I received on my visit to your installation meeting.”
“My congratulations go out to your new WM, W.Bro Sharples and also to your installing master W.Bro Tan for an excellent ceremony.”
He goes on to add,
“It was great to see that all the progressive officers are filled by Brothers and I wish them all a great year”.
The same sentiment was echoed by W.Bro Poland PrAGDC who was also at the meeting.
“… thank you to you and the Lodge for the kindness and hospitality shown to me at your Installation Meeting on Monday.”
“Please send my congratulations to W.Bro Tan and W.Bro Sharples, they both performed their respective roles excellently, and I am sure the high standards of the Lodge will be maintained.”
He also congratulated everyone who took part in the ceremony in his message below:
“…to single anyone out would be wrong, they were all excellent, especially the Junior Brethren who performed the working tools. Their enthusiasms bode well for the future of the Lodge of Honour.”
On behalf of the visitors and members of the Lodge of Honour, we would like to thank our DC, W.Bro Cooke for all his help, guidance and information during the ceremony.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening and hoped that all our visitors did too, and that they will come back again to join us in the future.
