First Curry Club Meet for 2024 with Members from Royal Sussex & Royal Cumberland Lodges
After a long break from freemasonry, and with Christmas and New Year out of the way, our Curry Club met again in January. We reached out to lodges that meet in Bath and had members from Royal Sussex Lodge and Royal Cumberland Lodge joined us.
Revitalizing Freemasonry Bonds: Royal Sussex & Royal Cumberland Lodges Join First 2024 Curry Club Gathering
Curry Club Reached An Important Milestone
This gathering marked a significant moment, as we extended a cordial invitation to fellow lodges in Bath, resulting in the esteemed presence of members from Royal Sussex Lodge and Royal Cumberland Lodge.
A Notable Attendance
The event was graced by three members from the Royal Sussex Lodge, including their current presiding master and a past master. Additionally, the presiding master and past master of the Royal Cumberland Lodge also joined the occasion, adding to the evening’s distinction.
New Master Mason and Potential Initiate
Our group also included newly minted Master Mason and would-be initiate. Everyone enjoyed the evening and those who couldn’t make it for the pre-dinner drinks dropped by for the ‘after party’ drinks at the Bonzo Lounge, a Cafe Bar nearby.
A Growing Tradition among Bath Freemasons
Established in 2018 by the then WM (2018-19), the Lodge of Honour Curry Club has evolved into a premier social event for Bath Freemasons. Held on the last Friday of each month (with December being an exception), it serves as a vibrant platform for Freemasons, their families, and friends to engage in an informal and enjoyable setting. This club symbolizes a melting pot of camaraderie, where bonds are strengthened over delightful meals and engaging conversations.
A Culinary Delight at Cinnamon Indian Cuisine
The January meeting saw a gathering of over a dozen members and friends at Cinnamon Indian Cuisine in Keynsham, conveniently located a stone’s throw from the Keynsham Masonic Hall. This venue was chosen for its exceptional culinary offerings, ensuring that attendees could relish in delectable Indian cuisine while basking in each other’s company. The evening was a testament to the enduring spirit of fellowship that defines the Freemasonry community.
