Double Second at Our March 2024 Regular Meeting
Fresh from a double initiation in February, we jumped into our March meeting with another double. This time, a double second for the same candidates.
It may seem like we are pushing our Entered Apprentices though the ranks as it was only in February that both of them were initiated but its only because we had other candidates that couldn’t make this meetings. So as to not ‘waste’ a meeting, we moved our Entered Apprentices up to the rank of Fellow Crafts.
2nd Degree Ceremony
The Worshipful Master passed our members to the degree of Fellow Crafts assisted by the Acting IPM who delivered the secrets, secretary who delivered the south east corner, another fellow craft, our Steward who delivered the second degree working tools and our Senior Deacon delivered the 2nd degree tracing board.
Provincial Promotions and Appointments
Another milestone for LoH is Provincial Promotions and Appointments at the forth coming Provincial AGM. Our Director of Ceremony will be promoted to the rank of Past Provincial Grand Superintendent of Works while our Almoner will be promoted to the rank of Past Provincial Grand Sword Bearer. The Secretary will also receive a first appointment to the rank of Provincial Grand Junior Deacon.
Proposal for Rejoining
‘Long lost’ brethren who left the lodge due to other commitment or move have decided to rejoin. Much to our the members delight as the lodge could use experienced member as we head towards our Bicentenary year.
All Hands On Deck
Many of our members have committed to booking a whole table each at the upcoming Bicentenary Gala which will allow us to fulfil a minimum number of guests required to secure the venue. This is good news as it would mean we can go ahead and sign the contract for our bicentenary gala dinner celebration. Watch this space.
Dispensation
The Secretary also announced that the lodge has now received the dispensation to hold an emergency meeting to enable the lodge to carry out a Raising Ceremony for one of our junior member.
