At our very first regular meeting of the year we commemorated the Lodge’s 197th Anniversary, taking us another year closer to our bi-centenary in 2025. While originally petitioned as “The Tynte Lodge of Honour and Independence”, on the 23rd February 1825 that Grand Lodge issued our warrant under the name “The Lodge of Honour”.
As 2021 drew to a close, there was only one thing left for our lodge, the Installation meeting in December. With most of our members in the Acting roles, it is only natural that the new Worshipful Master officially appoints his officer for the ensuing year.
As part of the Province of Somerset, we are fortunate to have a representative at the forthcoming Solomon Live webinar where 4 Freemasons will be interviewed on the 14th December 2021 at 7:30pm.
Completing his 4th and final meeting before the Installation of a new WM next month, our current WM, aided by his Officers had the pleasure of performing a third degree ceremony at the November meeting this year. This is a much welcomed and long awaited for ceremony for LoH since the pandemic closures of 2020.
The gentlemen of the Lodge of Honour were overjoyed to have our first face to face Masonic meeting after two long years this week! Socially distanced and with all due precautions taken, we gathered at the Bath Masonic Hall on the second Monday in October and opened the Lodge (finally!).
Hundreds of children and families will receive essential education support during lockdown thanks to £250,000 grant from Freemasons.
The Lodge of Honour No 379’s first meeting of the year opened with a well-attended and organised Installation Ceremony on the 9th December 2019. It was also our Christmas Meeting.
We celebrated our final Curry Club meeting of the year with a blast! With the help of our secretary, we managed to secure an early booking (and a brilliant deal) on a busy Friday evening to enjoy fine Indian dining at the Mint Room.
We are very fortunate to witness a double initiation and to welcome two of our newest members to the Lodge of Honour in our November meeting.
